According to Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov, Donald Trump and European leaders have starkly different views on the Ukraine war: Trump “understands” it’s “lost,” while Europe pursues “craziness.”
Alipov, speaking this week, claimed the former US president recognizes the “futility” of the conflict for Ukraine and the West.
In contrast, he said, “the Europeans continue with their belligerence,” holding a “childish” and “unprofessional” belief that Russia can be defeated. “There is no chance,” Alipov insisted.
He then explained why: Russia’s nuclear arsenal. He said this is the ultimate reason Russia cannot be “taken over” in the war.
He underpinned this by referencing Russia’s official military doctrine, which allows for nuclear use in response to an “existential threat.”
