Israel Accepts US Ceasefire Formula for Gaza

by admin477351

Israel has accepted the ceasefire formula put forward by the United States, agreeing to a plan that would end the Gaza war permanently. A senior official confirmed the government’s endorsement of the deal, which rests on the dual conditions of a full hostage release and the complete disarmament of Hamas.

This “formula for peace” has been carefully crafted by U.S. diplomats to be acceptable to Israel while offering a path forward for Palestinians. It provides a structured de-escalation, beginning with a temporary truce and building towards a lasting peace, with verifiable benchmarks at each stage.

The most critical benchmark for Israel is the disarmament of Hamas. The proposal does not allow for a situation where Hamas could remain a military power in Gaza. This clause is the foundation upon which the entire agreement is built, reflecting Israel’s primary security imperative.

Now that Israel has accepted this formula, the question is whether Hamas will do the same. The group is being urged by regional powers to engage constructively with the proposal, which offers an end to the suffering of the Gazan people. Their response will be the deciding factor.
